Why Online Casinos Affect Men and Women Differently

By Lifestyle 2 Comments

A lot of women are increasing their presence in the gambling world throughout the past decades. Things are changing and men aren’t anymore, the main guests of the casinos in general. Women and men all around the world are now true competitors and the idea of a casino being a man’s place for fun is almost long gone.

However, women and men really have different approaches to gambling. They tend to play diverse games and use different strategies while playing them. Let’s find out more about how and why online casinos have a dissimilar effect on these two genders.

Feminist Influence of Online Casinos

Believe it or not, online casinos were the ones that made betting more accessible to women everywhere. Pop culture and famous movies with gambling as a theme provided support to the old-fashioned perspective that there is no room for women in the gambling world. But luckily, online casinos have changed that point of view!

When you gamble online, you have all the experience of a regular land-based casino but with no judgmental and underestimating looks that women often encounter. That is the reason why women love to be a part of the online casinos and try their luck while playing fun and interesting games.

Because of the rise of the online gambling industry, the number of women gamblers has arisen also. Today, we talk about approximately the same percentage of women and men who gamble. This data is optimistic, and we can predict an even bigger rise in the popularity of online casinos in the women’s population.

Men, Women and Preferred Games

Do you ever wonder what are typically women’s gambling games and what are men’s? We did wonder and therefore have done the research so you wouldn’t have to! In the next few passages, you will have an opportunity to see which types of games women prefer and which men.

There are gender differences in the kind of games women and men like to play. Men tend to play games of so-called “skills”, while women are more likely to play games of chance. Accordingly, men prefer games like poker, blackjack, and all different kinds of table games.

On the other hand, women are more inclined to play slots and roulette. Slots are the most famous gambling games in general, but women especially prefer slots with female characters and interesting storylines. Still, some recent data has shown that younger women also tend to play skill-based games.

Strategy & Tactics

When you decide what game you are going to play, you must prepare your strategy according to the choice you have made. The tactic is more important for the table games than for the games of chance, but it still exists. People simply have various approaches to the games they play, even when these approaches are based on superstition only.

Strategically speaking, men are more inclined to play games individually and not in groups. Contrarily, women believe that playing games as a team or in groups is better. Maybe the reason is, as some reports suggest, that women declare fun as the reason to gamble. Women are not as much interested in winning, as in having a good time. Quite opposite, if you ask men, they will say that winning and prizes are the main factors why they play. Men play to win, and fun is just a bonus.

Differences Between Gaming and Gambling

By Lifestyle 3 Comments

Man, these slots are a lot of fun? And video games are also a lot of fun, huh. Sure, wish that somebody would tell me the difference between them. Well, worry no more, because we are looking at similarities but more importantly the differences between gaming and gambling. Let’s dig in!

Gaming vs Gambling – Is This the Same Thing?

So let’s put things in perspective. Both industries, gambling and gaming should be referred to as gaming. They both include the activities of playing games, we can all agree to that. But what are the key differences? Well, the most obvious difference is the skill-based aspect. Playing traditional games usually require more skills while in slot games you rely more on your lucky stars. But it’s not all so cut and dry as it may appear at first glance. Two things complicate this picture. Loot boxes and skill-based slots. Let’s take a crack at loot boxes first. This gaming and gambling feud is heating up!

Loot Boxes Gambling?

First things first, what are loot boxes? Well, in a lot of online games you can get cosmetic items to change the appearance of player characters. And in most big game releases the only way of getting some of these things is by buying them. Well, not them, but a randomly generated package that may or may not contain the item called a loot box. So, people buy and buy these digital boxes in hopes of getting a rear hat or sunglasses they can put on their characters.

Now, loot boxes have been a very hot topic in the gaming industry for over half a decade. Are they gambling? If they are, do they negatively affect the children playing these games? Most people would say yes to both, including the Belgium government. They order a removal of loot boxes from all the games they can purchase in. And if the companies don’t comply with that…Fines!

But loot boxes aren’t the only way traditional gaming companies have tried to get into gambling, without following regulations. The multiplayer game GTA online has a casino in it. Plain and simple, no pretending or trying to cover it up. But you pay with a premium in-game currency, not real money, so no regulations, I guess. They allege this is different from directly spending real-world currencies like USD or Bitcoins, or Dash for example (check the info here) and doesn’t have to be regulated as such. Not a good look, let’s see the gambling side.

What Are Skill-Based Slots?

Skills-based slots only became a thing in the last decade or so. The reason for this is a shift in demographics. The generation that grew up surrounded by games has gained purchasing power and more adult tastes. So, they want the rushes and big wins you get with slots, mixed in with a bit of challenge.

Enter skill-based slots, with a cool combo of luck and skills that anyone can enjoy. Now, skill-based slots separate into two categories. The first, the rarer kind, are the slots where the skill-based component dominates the whole game. These are like traditional games but with some specific actions, like killing an enemy triggering a slot reel. Other types of slots include the skill-based aspect only in their bonus rounds while the rest of the game’s more luck-based. Now, let’s see what the final scoreboard between gaming and gambling is, shall we?

Conclusion – What is better? Gaming or Gambling?

The gambling industry is heavily regulated and for good reasons (kids!). And the fact that the gaming industry is trying to dodge these regulations isn’t helping them in the long run. But there is another reason why slots are just straight up superior: You can bet with real money. And win big by doing so! Adding to that, when you win big there are casinos that have instant withdrawals like our very own Casino Brango!

Is It Possible to Eat Healthy During the Holidays?

By Lifestyle No Comments

The winter is coming and so are the holidays! We have survived Thanksgiving and Halloween, but what about Christmas and New Year? To make things harder, there is always someone’s birthday in the middle of the holiday tussle. Is it even possible to eat healthy at this time of the year? Last year we covered the topic of Guilty Pleasures During Holidays, as well as Beating the Holiday Blues.

This year, the main question is – how to keep your diet as healthy as possible while still enjoying sweet and juicy holiday meals? We have done some research instead of you and we found out interesting things. In fact, it is possible to eat healthy during the holidays! We provide you with some tips that can help you survive this time of the year.

Limit Indulging

All the family gatherings are always accompanied by BIG lunch. There are appetizers, sweets, alcohol, and a lot of meat and not-so-healthy prepared vegetables. Naturally, you want to try a little bit of everything, and, by the time the main meal is at the table, you are already bloated and overeaten.

Honestly, we have all been there. But there is a way to eat healthy and avoid this. The solution is not so complicated and it says: limit your portions!

That is perhaps the easiest and the most obvious solution, but also the hardest. The best way to restrict your portions is to decide how much you will eat in advance. After that, the only thing you should do is stop yourself from eating more than that. It sounds simple, don’t you think?

Be Active

Every person alive knows that being active is the key to healthy living. Nevertheless, it is difficult to put theory into practice, as we all can admit.

However, being active can do a lot for your overall health plus it can help you with the potential weight gain during the holiday season. You don’t have to go to the gym to keep yourself dynamic. Workout at home, walking with your family and things like that can do a lot to improve your weight and mood also. Even minimal exercise will lessen your cravings for unhealthy food.

Your workout doesn’t have to be long or extremely intense. It is more important that you exercise regularly. Even a 15-minute exercise can make a difference. If we are being honest, we all have so much time.

Don’t Stress Too Much

Stress is one of the main factors of overeating. When we are nervous or anxious, we tend to indulge in unhealthy habits like grabbing a snack every now and then.

The healthier way to deal with stress is to, first of all, limit our stress income. Exclude all the negativity in your life, as much as you possibly can.

Second of all, it is desirable to find a way to release the stress that we will still absorb. No matter how hard you tried, life is full of surprises and you cannot avoid being stressed out completely.

But, be aware that you won’t get rid of the stress if you eat!  In fact, you will just gain weight and then stress over that all over again! The better option is to find an activity that will be interesting to you and keep your mind occupied and relaxed.

Maybe playing our games can help you with that. You can read about the positive influence gambling can have on your health on our blog also!

We hope that these pieces of advice will help you deal with the upcoming holiday season! Christmas Magic is in the air!

Dogecoin

Dogecoin vs Shiba Inu 2022

By Lifestyle No Comments

It’s a dog-eat-dog world when it comes to the crypto market. There are of course more titanic clashes (Bitcoin vs Ethereum), that’s for sure. But none exemplify the killer instinct necessary to survive in today’s market quite so well as our two competitors. Yap, they bark, they bite but most importantly they meme and with a little Elon assistance, they’ll help you dream. It’s Dogecoin vs Shiba Inu 2022! We are going by seniority so Dogecoins first. Get’em boys!

Dogecoin

Dogecoin was created in December 2013 by Billy Markus and Jackson Palmer. It was created as a joke making fun of the opportunistic early days of crypto and less than legal past. And that was that, it was a joke and nobody took it seriously so why am I talking about it? Well, a hypothetical person, who lived under a rock, it’s because it blow up, big time. First, it was the videos and memes and then he, the Doge-father himself descendent and gave his grace. In a blink, dodge price skyrocketed to number 8th in the market cap and the rest is history (real recent history). But, if among you there are still some naysayers than I got some points to show you the light:

It’s still one of the most profitable coins to mine because of its simple encryption and merge-mining with Litecoin. So, every time you mine Litecoin you’ll get some dodge coin back and vice versa. Plus, it has a much lower energy consumption than other big altcoins and bitcoin so it’s eco-friendly.

Lower transaction fees. Also, like Litecoin it has one of the lowest transaction fees among the top 10 cryptos. Again this is to its simpler encryption method which it shares with Litecoin.

Now on the price side, things are pretty solid for meme coin. It was mostly based around big whale investment until the happening. That meant there was a small number of investors with a large percentage of market they share. And then, Elon came and showed them who is the biggest whale of them all.

So, because of the predictable whale behavior and the shareholder experience (started in 2013), it’s a much safer asset. To add to that there are a few very smart people who are behind it. Namely, Vitalik Buterin (Ethereum creator) and Elon Musk (Meme God). Now, they are looking into ways to improve the technology behind Dodge coin and transition it from POW to POS.  Now the question is can Shiba compete? Let’s see.

Shiba Inu

Shiba Inu was created in August 2020 as a collaboration between an individual named Ryoshi and a nameless businessman. We know very little about Ryoshi, except one little detail. The detail I question is his connection with Vitalik Buterin who is rumored to be the nameless businessman. Busy man. Now, Shiba Inu was designed to be the Dogecoin killers, so let’s see what’s it made of:

Shiba is a token on the Ethereum blockchain and not a full coin like a Doge. This helps with the speed, but it is still not as fast as Litecoin or Dogecoin. It uses Gas like Ethereum so the speed is heavily dependent on the gas prices on the Ethereum network.

With the coming Ethereum 2.0 changes, as an Ethereum token, it will get a lot of new technological improvements.  Another small minus is its larger energy consumption compared to  Dogecoin (so less eco-friendly boo). Therefore, a mixed bag on the technical side.

The price is very volatile even for meme coin standards. It shows some promise with its large media presence and a rabidly loyal fanbase from day 1. But that might add edition noise when looking at a price making it a  riskier venture.

It’s blowing up now and even with Buterine’s assumed quite large support it doesn’t look like the dodge killer is quite there yet. Speaking of the future let’s look at the key past effect that changed the face of memes coins forever. Mr. Musk, you are up next.

The Elon Effect

Don’t know if you are aware of this, but Mr. Musk is the richest person in the world (take that Bezos). Also, Elon owns a Shiba Inu puppy, named Floki. Elon also owns Twitter where he posted a photo of his doggy, blowing up the prices of our two contenders.

But let’s be clear, Elon has only one dog in this fight. His crypto portfolios include Dogecoin, unlike Shiba, and has repeatedly encouraged people to invest because of its eco-friendly features. But, the final nail in Shiba Inu’s love affair with Elon was the launch announcement of DOGE-1. What’s DOGE-1, well it’s a Space X satellite scheduled to launch in the beginning of 2022 and financed partly in Dogecoin. A love affair for the ages.

Now, do you want to get rich? Well, you can maybe not achieve the Elon-rich level, but nonetheless. All you need to do is make a deposit preferably in Dogecoin or Litecoin and hit the reels and get a big win. And don’t forget to have fun along the way.
